Shift:
1:00 PM 9:30 PM EST (Must be available for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed)
Pay Rate:
$35.00/hr on W2 Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on Lead Technician to guide a skilled maintenance team at our production facility in Lafayette, IN. In this role, you will oversee the troubleshooting, repair, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities for advanced industrial equipment and CNC machines. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in electrical and CNC control systems who is passionate about team development, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Direct, train, and provide technical guidance to a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians on a daily basis.
Equipment Maintenance:
Lead troubleshooting, repairs, and predictive/preventive maintenance for CNC machines, robotic systems, multi-axis grinders, central coolant systems, HVAC units, pumps, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
Workforce Coordination:
Partner with Site Leadership to manage, prioritize, and schedule maintenance tasks using the CMMS (Maximo), ensuring accurate documentation and on-time completion.
Technical Expertise:
Serve as the facility's subject matter expert for electrical and CNC control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc).
Root Cause Analysis:
Diagnose complex equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions to improve asset reliability.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations, conduct routine safety audits, and deliver team training on lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and proper PPE usage.
Vendor Management:
Coordinate and oversee third-party contractor/vendor services for specialized facility repairs and engineering projects. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 8+ years of experience in industrial production or automated facilities maintenance. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and CNC control platforms (Fanuc, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley). Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S. Ability to pass a pre-employment substance test and obtain a facility security access badge. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and walk extensively throughout a large production facility.
