Job Description

Our client designs and builds the heavy-duty shredding and specialty equipment that powers recycling operations. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Machine Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components that meet precise specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, values safety, and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting machines to produce parts according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders Load and unload raw materials, ensuring proper alignment and machine calibration for optimal performance and accuracy Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic programming adjustments to ensure machine efficiency and minimize downtime Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred Prior experience operating laser cutting machines or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
