Job Description

One of our clients is looking for a Maintenance Tech Electrical in North Vernon, IN, 47265 .
Duration:
12 months (Contract-to-hire) Shift
  • 2nd Number of positions: 1 Pay range
  • $25•30/hour on W2 without benefits Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech Electrical to provide technical support for software and hardware systems used in manufacturing automation.
The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Support design, development, procurement, and launch of automation equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Work on CNC machines (3-axis mills), conveyors, robots, and automated systems
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance per work orders
  • Analyze equipment issues using structured troubleshooting methods
  • Interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents
  • Support control system improvements and upgrades
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in compliance with regulations
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate updates to team members
  • Assist in sourcing replacement parts when required
Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing automation and control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Electrical and mechanical system understanding
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with PLCs and industrial automation (Allen-Bradley and/or Fanuc preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Awareness of ISO standards (ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001)
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing process controls or automation systems
  • Working knowledge of industrial hardware and computer-based control systems
  • Education
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
