  • Full-time Higgins Powersports has an opened position for a powersports service technician.
We are a family owned and operated dealership in Syracuse, Indiana for the past 30 years. Enjoy year-round steady work flow we service Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris, Sea Doo, Yamaha, and all major brands, ATV, UTV, Personal Watercraft, Snowmobiles, Lawn & Garden and various small engines. Large shop environment with heating and cooling. The service technician performs routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing spark plugs or changing oil, Summerizations, Winterizations. Repair engines and transmissions, may also perform minor repairs to the body, and detailing units for customers. On the job training is provided for diagnostics and computer analysis. Have what it takes? Compensation based on experience and skills. Tools provided. Training provided for the right candidate. :
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Diagnose failed vehicles utilizing computer aided tools
  • Estimate, repair, and test drive different types of vehicles. (including: ATV, Side by Side, UTV, Jet Ski, PWC, Scooters, and more)
  • Perform quality inspection prior to returning vehicle to customer
  • Install accessories
  • Assembly and prep of vehicles
  • Clean and maintain workspace
  • Driver's license
  • Deadline and detail-oriented with ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Preferred ability to operate multiple makes and models of units.
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift
