This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated packaging equipment and systems. You will work hands-on with advanced automation technology, partnering with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement across the operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging equipment including case packers, palletizers, conveyors, and robotic systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and HMI systems.
  • Support equipment startups, changeovers, and line optimization efforts.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
  • Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new automation equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train operators on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production disruption.
  • Complete all work orders within a timely manner.
  • Update Work order Management System accordingly. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience working with automated manufacturing or packaging equipment.
  • Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, drives, and control systems.
  • Experience in packaging, food, or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Strong work ethic and career focus. Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
Pay commensurate with skills and experience.
Pay:
$33.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
