Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Post Consumer Brands - 3.2 Lawrence, KS Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Industrial automation Automation Basic math Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Food sanitation practices Industrial electrical systems Electrical instrumentation High school diploma or GED Manufacturing standard operating procedures Electrical safety procedures Industrial electronics Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) Electrical control system maintenance Electrical maintenance PLC networking Industrial power systems Food safety Standard operating procedures (SOPs) E & I Full Job Description Responsibilities In the Electrical & Instrumentation Technician role, you will: Maintain and repair all electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation equipment and software in a way that achieves customer satisfaction in support of the manufacturing of Kibbles 'n Bits Proficiency in operation and troubleshooting of the following: Power Distribution Studio5000 or Logix5000 platform hardware and software Drives and Motion Control FactoryTalk ME & SE Ethernet/IP Control Network Food Manufacturing and Utility Instrumentation Maintains and properly operates electrical testing equipment Utilizes drawings, prints, and instruction manuals to determine proper steps to be taken for equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs; adheres to company drawing and documentation standards Performs preventive maintenance activities and work orders in a timely manner to maximize performance of plant equipment. Improves and modifies preventative maintenance activities as appropriate Uses continuous improvement tools, including breakdown elimination, to eliminate losses and drive issues to root cause; documents, communicates, and implements corrective and preventative actions Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety The successful candidate (s) for this role will have the following qualifications: Possess a high school diploma or a GED Associates, technical degree or training is preferred Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with electrical systems, PLC, motor and motion controls, SCADA systems, device and information networks, sensors, instrumentation equipment for manufacturing is required Previous mechanical/maintenance experience is preferred Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed Able to read, understand, and follow documents such as safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and general instructions Working knowledge of general electrical safety Working knowledge of electrical schematics, power distribution and controls, motor and motor controls, PLC logic controls, HMIs, and other industrial controls Able to work both independently and on a team Works well with support personnel to maintain high standards for safety, quality, and reliability and drive improvements Able to make data driven decisions and engage others as appropriate Basic mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills Excellent computer skills Able to learn company specific computer systems, including maintenance enterprise system Desire to work in a constantly changing, progressive environment Perform the following actions with our without reasonable accommodation: Lift floor to Knuckle 65 lbs. occasionally Lift 12" from floor to Knuckle 65 lbs. occasionally Push (static force) 50 lbs. occasionally Pull (static force) 50 lbs. occasionally Sitting Constantly Standing Constantly Walking Constantly Climb Stairs Frequently Climb Ladder Frequently Stooping/bending Frequently Squatting Frequently Reaching (forward and above shoulder level)Frequently Manual Dexterity Constantly
