Job Description

AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN
Department Facilities & Maintenance Automation Technician Full-time | Automation | Location - Olathe, KS, 66062 The Automation Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the computer-controlled systems and robotic devices used within the warehouse to maximize efficiency. This position will work within the Automation Team and support the day to day operations of
TVH. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience troubleshooting and modification of Siemens PLC (TIA portal), HMI (TIA Portal), and Drives (TIA Portal). Networking experience/Profinet. Experience troubleshooting hardwired systems and print reading (US and European style prints) Provide expertise to continue the advancement of automated systems throughout a site Install, maintain and inspect workstation and control-system installations throughout a facility Preventative maintenance on all material handling and automated equipment Undertake emergency troubleshooting to determine problems associated with the machines Adhere to company policy, and health and safety standards Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Provide status updates, manage expectations and provide support to operations staff Work with team members, and leadership on assigned projects
HOW TO SUCCEED
Minimum 2 years' experience in commissioning or maintaining industrial automation systems Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Electrical / Controls / Automation / Robotics / Instrumentation Engineering/Technology Basic computer skills (Google Workspace) Strong command of English Language both written and verbal a must Proficient in Siemens Simatic S7 (TIA, Drives, Profinet, Profisafe) Working knowledge of Allen Bradley tools (Rs Logix 5/500/5000, Factory Talk View) Working knowledge in troubleshooting industrial networks. Working knowledge in drives (VFD/Servo) issues Working knowledge in troubleshooting electrical circuits (24VDC to 480VAC) Working knowledge in troubleshooting controls issues
