Industrial IT Technician Who we are & what we do: At ARMOR-IIMAK, we innovate and manufacture Thermal Transfer Ribbons, Direct Thermal Films & Industrial & Digital Inkjet Inks for products used every day. Whether it is a large sign, advertisement displaying your company or clothing designed for a friend, team, or organization, our ink technology makes visions reality. What you'll do: The Industrial IT Technician bridges the gap between traditional IT systems and manufacturing operational technology (OT), focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing factory floor systems like PLCs, robots, and automation machinery. They ensure maximum uptime by installing and supporting hardware/software, often requiring knowledge of industrial networks, electrical systems, and machinery ensuring optimal performance and uptime in a manufacturing environment. This role manages machine and device connectivity in a production environment, ensuring reliable network communication between industrial equipment and systems. Support and maintain production related IT systems to ensure high availability and minimal downtime Configure, troubleshoot and maintain connectivity for machines, devices and industrial network infrastructure on the production floor Monitor and support industrial networks and connected equipment Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices for Operational Technology (OT) Systems Provide technical support for manufacturing software applications and resolve system issues Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network-related problems in a production environment Support day-to-day operations by responding to system issues and minimizing production disruptions Assist with installation, configuration and deployment of new equipment and technologies Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration Maintain documentation for systems, configurations and troubleshooting procedures Who you are: Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues. Work effectively both independently and within cross‑functional teams Communicates clearly in both written and verbal formats and brings hands‑on experience with industrial software applications to support operational efficiency.
