Full Job Description Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our premises' safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
Requirements:
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.) Perform preventative maintenance on injection machines, auxiliary equipment, injection molds, robots, and all other production equipment. Perform daily 5s tasks as needed and monitor overall safety regarding equipment. Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary. Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience as a maintenance technician Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Willingness to work overtime when needed High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus. Physical Requirements The ability to stand and walk for extended periods is essential, as the position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various facilities and equipment throughout the day. Maintenance tasks often require lifting and carrying heavy objects, equipment, tools, and materials with or without a reasonable accommodation. The ability to lift objects of a certain weight (e.g., up to 50 pounds or more) safely and with proper lifting techniques is crucial to prevent injuries. Maintenance may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to access equipment, inspect tight spaces, and perform repairs. Climbing ladders and stairs and using elevated platforms to access machinery, systems, or structures for maintenance and repair. Maintenance tasks may involve pushing or pulling heavy carts, equipment, or materials. Adherence to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety goggles, ear protection, and appropriate footwear, are mandatory to minimize the risk of injuries.
