Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Fiber Technician and become a vital part of building and maintaining cutting-edge telecommunication infrastructure. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables and related network components. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for residential, commercial, and enterprise clients. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and heavy machinery. Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal quality and network performance. Operate bucket trucks and other heavy equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas during installation or repairs. Read and interpret schematics, construction drawings, and network diagrams to accurately execute cabling and infrastructure projects. Conduct testing of fiber optic links using OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) devices to verify connectivity and troubleshoot issues. Manage telecommunication systems including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet, telephony, and low voltage electrical systems. Climb poles or structures safely while adhering to safety protocols to install or repair network infrastructure. Document all work performed accurately in reports, logs, and maintenance records for compliance and quality assurance.

Pay:
$800.00 - $1,500.00 per week
