Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our maintenance and repair facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply technical skills while contributing to the upkeep and smooth operation of our customer's vehicles. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about Volkswagen or already have experience, possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and demonstrate a proactive approach to diagnosis and repairs for our customers. Whether you are starting your career with VW or bringing automotive experience, this paid position provides valuable hands-on experience in automotive repair of electrical systems, engines and more. Join us to be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence and continuous improvement! Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments (such as voltmeters and ohmmeters), diagnostic equipment, and analysis skills. Conduct repairs involving mechanical adjustments, and replacement of parts using OEM service procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance. Utilize special service tools to complete testing and repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Perform replacement of major assemblies Support customer service efforts by providing technical assistance and ensuring minimal downtime for production lines. Both online and in classroom training. Qualifications Previous experience in industrial or automotive maintenance or related fields or military service is required. Knowledge of automotive electrician practices including electrical diagnosis, and repair of wires. Familiarity with schematics, control systems, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to use precision measuring instruments like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters accurately. Mechanical knowledge encompassing suspension systems, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical repair techniques. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing issues quickly and effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members. Must have own tools with storage. Valid certifications in industrial or automotive mechanic work or electrical experience are advantageous; military background is a plus. Must have strong work ethic Non slip and safety toe shoes or boots
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
