Electrical Technician Job Description Join our team in designing cutting-edge telephone news and homeland security vehicles. We are looking to expand by hiring two skilled electrical technicians. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair customer issues on specialized communication vehicles for the TV News Industry, Law Enforcement, and Government Agencies. Address electrical and electronic equipment issues as well as electro-mechanical and vehicle structural problems. Perform vehicle upgrades through undercarriage wiring, mast removal, and rebuilding. Repair alternators and MEPS systems. Build custom roof decks. Regulate satellite technology on vehicles. Install, program, and test equipment for ENG, SNG, and production vehicles. Essential Skills Experience with troubleshooting and correcting all electrical, electromechanical, and calibration problems. Strong mechanical experience, such as that of an automotive mechanic. Proficiency in wiring harnesses, reading schematics, audiovisual systems, radio repair, crimping, wiring, and conduit bending. Must possess own tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a Journeyman or Apprentice electrician is advantageous. Ideal candidates include electro-mechanical technicians, automotive mechanics, or those who have experience with car radio installations. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
