Job Description

Job Summary The Engineering Technician s responsibilities include assisting the engineering group and operations organization with the efficient production of medical products with extremely high quality. The technician will assist in designing and implementing streamlined manufacturing processes that produce high quality product. They will help identify areas of improvement and assist with keeping operations up and running. The Engineering Technician should be able to work independently, effectively and with minimal oversight once given task requirements. When required they should be able be an integral member of a team while adding hands-on technical expertise. An outstanding Engineering Technician should be able to assist shop floor associates with process issues, support manufacturing engineers with a variety of tasks and constantly look to improve all areas related to product production. Role and Responsibilities Assist with the implementation of new manufacturing processes. Assist with evaluating existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement and help with implementation of improvements Support problem resolutions and the implementation of improvements and or corrective actions. Help with the installation of new pieces of manufacturing equipment that increase productivity and improve quality. Be able to learn the machine and program them as applicable. Help support cost-saving measures and quality control systems. Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations Assist with the design and development of tools and fixturing. Familiarity and understanding of computer numerical control (CNC) systems Strong knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) systems Work with company ERP system to support the business Level of Skill, Education and Experience Bachelor s degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering is desirable. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software Experience programming CNC equipment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organization skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Hands-on technical expertise Strong analytical thinker Solid problem-solving skills Can-do and willing to do it attitude 1st shift 7am to 4pm
