Duties:

Assemble and align free-space optical components, including lenses, mirrors, and other optical elements. Perform optical system integration and troubleshooting, ensuring all components meet specifications and performance standards. Use precision tools and equipment such as microscopes and optical mounts to assemble and test the laser head. Conduct tests on finished assemblies to ensure functionality, optical performance, and alignment. Document assembly processes, test results, and any issues encountered during assembly. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues and improve assembly procedures. Follow company standards for safety and quality control throughout the assembly process. Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job. Technical school graduate or equivalent experience Competent in the use of optical measurement tools, gauges, and meters. Craftsman skill level with assembly hand tools and light power tools. Neat, accurate, and consistent work. Works well independently and assumes responsibility for own work. Attention to detail and ability to retain communicated information. Appropriate communication skills to convey information to other associates and supervisors. Understands when to request guidance from superiors and the proper chain of command.
