  • 36/ph Summary of Position Perform a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly and test tasks in support of production units.
Utilize standard assembly tools, materials, and test equipment. Responsibilities may include product modifications, rework, and quality testing. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support regulatory agency testing and approval processes, as well as the development of test procedures and product troubleshooting. Primary Responsibilities Perform safety and regulatory testing, along with electro-mechanical troubleshooting, on mid-range to highly complex electrical, electronic, and sealed assemblies. Conduct testing of electrical units, including dielectric withstand, environmental, overload, and temperature testing. Additional testing may include vibration, mechanical shock, and burn-in processes. Execute testing using standard, specialized, manual, and automated equipment in accordance with performance specifications and acceptance test procedures. Record and analyze test data. Assemble, modify, repair, and improve electronic products, equipment, and control systems. Support development efforts for new or updated systems, components, and products. Test, tune, and troubleshoot complex hybrid electrical and electronic assemblies. Utilize hand tools such as digital multimeters, torque drivers, tweezers, and similar equipment, requiring strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Read and interpret detailed process documentation, assembly drawings, and schematics. Use computer systems to access drawings, work instructions, and support documentation. Follow established laboratory methods, procedures, and safety practices. Minimum Requirements Technical, vocational, or associate degree in electronics, avionics, laboratory technology, or a related field. At least one year of experience performing laboratory or test-related work, including calibration and maintenance activities. Working knowledge of laboratory practices, procedures, and electronic document control systems. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques used in conducting complex testing and analysis. Ability to follow standardized laboratory methods and procedures. Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience operating computer-controlled electro-mechanical equipment. Soldering experience in accordance with industry standards (e.g., IPC/J-STD-001). Experience analyzing and interpreting test data. Ability to develop test procedures and troubleshoot using schematics. Experience with mechanical assembly of small electronic devices. Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100). Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
