Volt is immediately hiring an Engineering Technician in

WILMINGTON, MA

As an Engineering Technician you will: Assemble precision optical, mechanical, and electro?mechanical components in a clean room and lab environment, supporting development and production programs while meeting quality, schedule, and cost goals. Key Responsibilities Assemble complex optical, mechanical, and electro?mechanical hardware in Class 100 (ISO 5) clean room and non?clean room labs. Perform high?precision assembly , bonding, and modification of components with micron?level tolerances. Conduct lapping operations to achieve flatness, parallelism, and angular accuracy. Read and interpret manufacturing instructions, drawings, blueprints, and CAD models . Troubleshoot assembly?related issues and implement effective corrective actions. Maintain component traceability throughout the assembly process. Safely handle sensitive optical components such as lenses and mirrors . Collaborate with engineering and cross?functional teams, recommending process or design improvements. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors, defects, scrap, and rework . Support engineering documentation and assist with new tasks during downtime. Ability to lift up to 32 lbs . 12?month contract opportunity Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience or Associate degree / post?secondary education with 2+ years of related experience. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) . Experience working in a Class 100 (ISO 5) clean room . Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint . Strong ability to read drawings and schematics per industry standards. Excellent hands?on assembly and troubleshooting skills . Experience using hand and test tools , including torque wrenches and multimeters.

Pay Rate:

$30-$40/hr. on W2 •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
