Job Title:
Electronics Technician Job Description Join a dedicated team of engineers in building, fabricating, testing, and delivering high-reliability electronics, harnesses, and equipment. This role focuses on a mix of flight harnesses, ground-based PCBs, and customized test racks/ground support equipment, all engineered to exact standards for an aerospace program. Responsibilities Collaborate with the engineering team during the integration and test phases, ensuring all electronics systems meet specific hardware requirements from NASA. Troubleshoot electronic systems, perform testing, and integrate cable crimp/harness builds. Document test results and maintain detailed records. Effectively use a multimeter and other testing equipment as needed. Work through final systems delivery, applying a broad-based skillset. Essential Skills Experience with High-Reliability systems, specifically space hardware, ideally spaceflight hardware. Proficiency in electronic cable and wire harness build, integration, and troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics and use a multimeter for crimping, splicing, and connector work. Strong electronics troubleshooting skills and familiarity with benchtop tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and voltmeters. Additional Skills & Qualifications Current or expired certification for high-reliability spaceflight harnesses. IPC-610/620 orNASA 8739.4
certification is a big plus. Experience withJ-STD-001
with a spaceflight addendum for soldering. An Associate's degree in Engineering or a technical discipline is preferred, though experience can be substituted. 5+ years of relevant experience. Work Environment This position operates in an office environment. You will be part of a small, close-knit team of engineers and technicians working on space hardware for various clients, including the Naval Research Lab. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
