Senior Building Automation Systems Technician SBF Search, LLC Glen Burnie, MD Job Details $42.50 - $66.40 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off On-the-job training Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description The Senior Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician will provide technician support for BAS service contracts, system upgrades, and controls related service requests. The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $42.50 - 66.40 in MD. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems. Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers. Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming. Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians. Create and/or modify programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects. Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications. Provide training and follow-ups for Customers and operations personnel. Complete work orders and review with customers for accuracy. Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively. Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years related experience. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to lift 50lbs with or without accommodation. Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Current first aid / CPR card. Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools. Competency in the operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals. Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls. Ability to understand written sequences of operation. Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams. Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification desired, but not required. Experience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL. Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals. Good verbal and written communication skills. Customer-focused, results-oriented professional, and strong team player. Motivated self-starter that demonstrates initiative. Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
