Validation Test Technician (Diagnostic Validation) -

$27.50/hourWe are hiring a skilled Automotive Technician for a temporary role focused on diagnostic validation and scan tool analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong vehicle diagnostics, electronic systems knowledge, and hands-on repair experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic testing using scan tools (DIDs/PIDs) and validate expected valuesExecute test procedures and simulate faults to verify diagnostic accuracyAnalyze results (Pass/Fail) and document findings in test systems (HPQC)Identify under-hood components, understand their function, and assess system impact when disconnectedCollaborate with diagnostic engineers to resolve issues and improve test processesStay current with automotive technology and diagnostic tools
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electronic systemsExperience using scan tools and interpreting live dataValid driver's license; ability to operate manual and automatic vehiclesTeam-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsComputer proficiency
Preferred:
Dealership or repair technician experience (2+ years)Understanding of electrical schematics and vehicle electronicsASE or Michigan Mechanic Certification (preferred)Automotive degree (2-year or Bachelor's)
