Job Description

Validation Test Technician (Diagnostic Validation) -
Temp Location:
Allen Park, MI Pay:
$27.50/hour We are hiring a skilled Automotive Technician for a temporary role focused on diagnostic validation and scan tool analysis . This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong vehicle diagnostics, electronic systems knowledge , and hands-on repair experience .
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic testing using scan tools (DIDs/PIDs) and validate expected values Execute test procedures and simulate faults to verify diagnostic accuracy Analyze results (Pass/Fail) and document findings in test systems (HPQC) Identify under-hood components, understand their function, and assess system impact when disconnected Collaborate with diagnostic engineers to resolve issues and improve test processes Stay current with automotive technology and diagnostic tools
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electronic systems Experience using scan tools and interpreting live data Valid driver's license; ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Computer proficiency
Preferred:
Dealership or repair technician experience (2+ years) Understanding of electrical schematics and vehicle electronics ASE or Michigan Mechanic Certification (preferred) Automotive degree (2-year or Bachelor's)
