Job Description

A leading manufacturer of industrial liquid filtration systems is looking for an Automation Technician to to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing and control systems onsite in Ann Arbor and Saline. This position will also operate robots as needed (welding, plasma cutting, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Program, modify and optimize robot paths for welding, plasma cutting and material handling equipment Perform robot setup, calibration, and tool center point (TCP) configuration Troubleshoot robot faults, alarms, and system issues Support production with cycle time improvement and process optimization Maintain program backups and version control Interface with maintenance and engineering for system improvements Ensure compliance with safety standards and LOTO procedures
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing maintenance Experience with ABB, Fanuc or Universal robots Knowledge of welding, including robotic welding Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experience Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Programming experience: RobotStudio, Teach Pendant, Polyscope Basic knowledge of PLC logic and integration (Allen-Bradley) Understanding of end-of-arm tooling, sensors, vision systems and safety circuits Experience with robotic cell integration and fixture setup/alignment
Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
