You are being redirected Once you are on the page, please click the refer button Job Overview Qualifications Benefits Job Overview The Calibration System Integration Engineer is responsible for leading the commissioning, integration and testing of calibration development resources. Including Virtual/hardware-in-loop test setups, Physical system dynamometer resources, and full vehicle. The scope of responsibility spans the commissioning and execution of new system-level propulsion test resources, and test/validation support for system-level propulsion strategy and execution. The Calibration System Integration Engineer will be the primary point of contact for system-level design validation and testing across these test resources. They will support HIL/Dyno/Vehicle commissioning and first-run activities. They will work closely with Powertrain controls team to ensure features are working sufficiently and efficiently. They will provide training to all new calibration engineers and/or anyone else needing training on the operation of propulsion vehicles and controls. They will support environmental test trips and report activities for Sr. Management. They will work with the CoE teams to ensure best practices are followed. They will be the lead contact point for system issues in their functional area. This individual will have also demonstrated the ability to work well with others. They must be a team player, supporting and promoting team accomplishments versus personal achievement.
Job Responsibilities:
System and Cross Feature Calibration and Validation
- ex. Drive modes, System SOC Management, range estimation, EOL, HMI, etc. First run support for HIL, Dyno and vehicle properties Lead validation of PCR package identifying HW/SW/Calibration deficiencies prior to Hard release FE/Emissions support
- dyno support, data review, issue/vehicle triage Lead/support development trips to meet program milestones Data Summary from trip, daily drives and fleet to support calibration maturity for calibration Quality Gates AVL Drive Testing
- Scheduling, triage lead and implementation of improvements Support all issue resolution
- GIMs, IMS, etc.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree Minimum of 2 Years calibration experience Basic knowledge of vehicle CAN protocols, and understanding of CAN database Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and with others High level of analytic ability and creativity Ability to balance work effectively on multiple issues Action a disciplined test plan and verification process to ensure quality calibrations are released. Must have strong knowledge of the Powertrain system.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of control system development tools such as Matlab and Simulink Knowledge of Calibration tools INCA, MDA, PowerCal, CRETA, CANAlyzer and CANoe Advanced knowledge of CAN-messaging interactions, and CAN database structure Minimum of 2 Years calibration experience on an Electrification Application Experience in Powertrain Control solutions development (powertrain control algorithms, On-board Diagnostics/OBD, embedded software) Knowledge of fundamentals of eMachines and Power Electronics and electrification power flow Experience in engine/transmission design and development and/or Powertrain Systems Engineering Masters Degree in Engineering Benefits Salaried Employee Benefits (US, Non-Represented) Health & Wellbeing Comprehensive coverages encompassing the Physical, Mental, Emotional, and overall Wellbeing of our employees, including short
