The On-Board Diagnostic Calibration Engineer will be able to review system and software designs, generate test plans, manage vehicle/test-bench/virtual resources, and both develop and validate compliant calibrations for future propulsion system programs. The candidate will work cross functionally with hardware development, controls and software development, program management, test fleet support, vehicle and compliance teams. They will guide instrumentation of electrical and physical systems, utilize and review data from acquisition software (INCA) to ensure that desired diagnostic behavior is achieved. The engineer will gather functional requirements as well as required milestones to plan and execute development to achieve on-time successful product launches. Projects include working on new & legacy technologies on gasoline powered propulsion systems requiring the understanding of distributed control architectures, engine & electric motor control, interactions with energy storage and management systems. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of diagnostics basics as well as a basic understanding of internal combustion engines propulsion systems. The candidate should expect to travel 1-4 weeks throughout the year for system validation/verification. Location(s) 3700 S. M-52, Chelsea , Michigan 48118 , United States

Requirements Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 5+ year experience in OBD or emissions calibration or controls Proficient using INCA, Matlab and Simulink/Stateflow Basic understanding of Internal combustion engine propulsion system hardware and function Excellent written and verbal communication skills and business acumen Self-motivated/proactive with strong leadership and interpersonal skills Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications Valid Driver License Willingness to work in-vehicle & inside climatic test environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 3 years' experience in OBD calibration, propulsion system calibration, OBD Controls or propulsion controls within the electric, gasoline or diesel industry Experience with Minitab, C++ and Visual Basic Employment Type Full-time Stellantis At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
