This role is ideal for an experienced Electromechanical technician who thrives in fast-moving environments. It requires deep technical execution and carries significant responsibility and autonomy, with direct impact on customer outcomes and service quality. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Execute mechanical and electrical installation of industrial automation equipment across automotive, medical device, consumer packaged goods or high-reliability manufacturing environments Support commissioning and startup activities: pneumatic and wiring verification, I/O checkout, system functional testing, and customer acceptance Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems during startup and post-commissioning Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on installed automation systems per OEM specifications. Perform system repairs, upgrades and retrofits. Execute fine adjustment and equipment and process optimizations. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams Work alongside controls engineers and project managers without overlapping into programming or design scope Document work performed, capture redlines, and complete field service reports accurately and on time Takes ownership of project outcomes and makes sound decisions independently in the field. Execute work safely ensuring the safety of self and others, including adhering to all company and client safety procedures, performing JHA's, wearing proper PPE, and executing LOTO practices. Customer Partnership Act as the primary technical interface with customers during service and commissioning activities Build trust through clear communication, professionalism, and rapid problem-solving Provide training and technical guidance to customer maintenance and engineering teams Travel & Field Support Must be able to travel up to 75% - 80% to customer sites, including some international travel, often on short notice. Work flexible hours to support project and customer production schedules. Must have valid driver's license. Required Qualifications Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics; Apprenticeship Certificate or Journeyman's Ticket as Millwright, Electrician, Machinist, or Tool & Die Maker; or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in building, installing, commissioning, or field service of industrial automation systems. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Proven ability to lead technical efforts independently in the field. Strong customer-facing communication and decision-making skills. Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams. Authorization to work in the US Preferred Qualifications Ability to navigate robot (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB) teach pendants and PLC (Rockwell, Siemens) interfaces to support fault diagnosis and point touchup. Training in proper rigging techniques and safety protocols, including pre-lift planning and preparation. Ability to operate a forklift. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to: Work in industrial manufacturing and variable temperature environments Lift up to 50 lbs Work at heights or for extended periods of standing / kneeling.
