Job Description:
As a Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Installation Technician, you will play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our industry leading FTTH network. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality installations, troubleshooting any connectivity issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
FTTH Installation:
Conduct site surveys to determine the best placement of fiber equipment and plan installation routes. Install and terminate fiber optic cables at customer premises, ensuring proper connections and signal strength.
Equipment Setup and Configuration:
Configure, connect and set up customer premises equipment such as routers and
Gateways Testing and Quality Assurance:
Perform thorough testing of installed equipment to verify optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Identify and rectify any connectivity or performance issues
Customer Interaction:
Provide clear and concise instructions to customers on using FTTH services and troubleshooting basic issues. Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and any necessary repairs or upgrades.
Required Experience:
Computer networking: 1 year (Preferred)
LAN:
1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Driver's License (Required) Ability to commute/relocate:
Detroit, MI:
Reliable transportation required. Commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
