Industrial Automation Technician Accelera - 3.5 Detroit, MI Job Details Full-time $28.50 - $44.00 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications PLC-based control system operation Human-machine interface (HMI) systems Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Full Job Description About the Role As an Industrial Automation Technician, you will serve as a critical technical resource, ensuring the seamless operation of complex manufacturing systems. You will leverage your expertise in PLC troubleshooting and mechanical systems to maximize equipment uptime and drive operational efficiency in a high-tech production environment. Responsibilities Execute rapid diagnostic and repair procedures on automated machinery to minimize production interruptions. Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance to extend the lifecycle of critical manufacturing assets. Analyze and resolve complex issues involving electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement equipment upgrades and optimize system performance. Maintain rigorous adherence to safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Utilize advanced technical skills to troubleshoot VFDs, servo motors, and conveyor systems. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing automation. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and diagnosing 120V-480V systems. Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and robotics. Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on component repair and system diagnostics. Preferred Skills Prior experience within metal stamping or plastic injection molding facilities. Familiarity with Allen Bradley, Fanuc, or Siemens control platforms. Proven track record of supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
