Job Description

Overview Automation Controls & Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automation Debug Coordinator to join our dynamic automation team at our Howell facility. This role manages equipment start-up and debug on the assembly floor, starting at power-on and continuing through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). This includes managing multiple machine debugs simultaneously. This position will also include managing the installation at the customer facility. This coordinator starts with startup, debugging of a line with completion of mechanical assembly, power-on, and PLC and robot program upload through FAT on the Company (ACE) floor and possibly SAT on the customer floor. This coordinator will troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve all issues across various platforms, ensuring the seamless execution of the machine and project frameworks. Your expertise will drive the quality and reliability of our products, supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Duties Coordinated debug activities between controls, mechanical, and assembly. Communicate the status of Debug activities Forecast and allocate resources during the debug process. This will involve coordinating with other departments. Track open issues on Excel matrix and lineside whiteboard Track and update timing Understand customer product requirements (quality, cycle time, etc.) and ensure we are meeting them Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve any issues Coordinate implementation of customer / ACE engineering changes that occur during debug. Track customer parts and determine requirements Coordinate and execute FAT Track and coordinate resolution of punch list items Support startup and SAT on customer's floor Qualifications Basic project management experience preferred Experience in control systems with basic PLC and Robotic experience preferred (10) years in the automation or custom machine building field is required Knowledge of vision programming preferred Knowledge of pneumatics preferred Strong knowledge of basic mechanical principles Experience with managing people preferred Proficient in reading and understanding engineering prints and visualizing the finished product Must have the ability to problem solve, meet deadlines, and understand budget parameters Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient with computer use - Microsoft programs, email, and other software that may be needed to perform assignments
Pay:
$35.00 - $37.00 per hour
