Job Description

Electronics Technician I For over 80 years, LECO has been a leader in the development and production of world class laboratory instruments delivering state of the art products nationwide and across the globe. Located in St. Joseph, Michigan, LECO continues to be a family-owned company that understands the value of shared interests, long-term stability, loyalty, and trust.
Schedule:
Full Time:
6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday and overtime as needed
Position Summary:
The Electronics Technician I will troubleshoot, test, repair, and operate LECO products.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and operating LECO products and test equipment under the direction of a higher-level technician, supervisor, or manager LECO products and test equipment include final instrument assemblies, sub-assemblies, computers, components, printed circuit boards, and LECO test equipment All other job duties assigned by department supervisors
Position Requirements:
Fundamental knowledge of electronics and electrical systems at a two-year technical degree level Fundamental knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems at a two-year technical degree level Basic knowledge of chemistry Good Math skills Good Computer skills operating in a Windows Environment Good Communication skills both verbal and written Good Dexterity using hands Good Soldering skills Ability to stay focused and on task Ability to work independently Able to follow both verbal and written instructions performing tasks in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner Comply with all department and company rules Safety glasses and casual attire
Education/Certifications:
Two-year Technical Degree or equivalent training/experience EOE M/F/VET/Disability
