SENIOR AUTOMATION CONTROLS ENGINEERNOVI, MICHIGAN
As a member of the Automation team, the Senior Automation Controls Engineer will be responsible for Leading, Supporting, Implementing, and Managing Automation projections while driving innovation in advancements. The candidate will use their vast knowledge, experience, and resourcefulness to lead and implement automation cells and drive standards across North America. The candidate must be able to develop the concept, aid in the mechanical - lectrical design, install, train the receiving plant, and provide ongoing support for the robot cell. The candidate must also possess the skill to project lead other Integrators as a subject matter expert. Responsible for projects from technical specification to startup supportDesign and develop all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and programming using Lear standards and build upon with innovative ideasWrite, implement, and debug PLC softwareDevelop contingency and disaster recovery plansSupport install, launch and production of all cells.Support implementation of proven and newly developed advanced automation.

Qualifications:
Expert in RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, Studio5000, and FactoryTalk View StudioAbility to navigate and interpret structured text programming languages like Visual Basic, C++, C#, and PythonFanuc and Universal Robotics Programming or basic understanding with RoboticsKnowledgeable of I/O link, AB components, drive control, Keyence cameras, and industrial networkingBasic experience with Vision systems to guide robot - offsetsUnderstand and communicate applicable safety standards: general industry (OSHA 1910), machine guarding, robot safety (ANSI/RIA 15.06), automated vehicles, conveyor safetySupporting member of Risk Assessments on all automated equipmentAbility to read and create electrical drawings in AutoCADCoordinate and manage controls systemsCommunication with external manufacturing system/MES and OPCExperience with SCADA systemsMust be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracySelf-driven and willingness to work long hours during installations, if requiredWillingness to travel up to 40% of the timeBonus:
Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV/AMR) experienceTeam DevelopmentMentor and Train plant controls engineers and support production as needed.Communicate across cross functional groupsSupport Kaizen, Improvement walks, and Error proofing projects
Minimum Qualifications:
