Electrical Technician / Programming Support Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual with experience in electrical systems and basic computer programming to support installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment and automated systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical knowledge along with the ability to assist with programming, diagnostics, and system integration. Key Responsibilities Assist with installation, wiring, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues in equipment or machinery Support setup, configuration, and testing of automation or control systems Assist with basic programming for PLCs, HMIs, microcontrollers, or software-based control systems Modify or troubleshoot existing code used in equipment operation or monitoring Perform system diagnostics and document findings, repairs, and updates Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, or production teams to improve system performance Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate service records Required Qualifications Experience with electrical wiring, controls, or industrial electrical systems Basic understanding of computer programming or automation logic Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams Familiarity with troubleshooting electrical circuits and control panels Knowledge of common electrical tools, meters, and test equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with PLC programming (such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) Familiarity with HMI systems Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, ladder logic, or structured text Experience with sensors, relays, motors, VFDs, and control panels Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or Computer Programming Experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, robotics, or automated equipment Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work around machinery as needed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or adjust as needed) Comfortable working in shop, plant, or field environments Work Environment Industrial, manufacturing, shop, or field service setting May involve occasional overtime, travel, or on-call support depending on business needs
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
