Automation/Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Automation/Maintenance Technician to join our team on the weekend 1st shift. This role requires a technician with a minimum of an associate's degree and substantial experience in controls, PLCs, and equipment troubleshooting. The position is essential in maintaining a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing operation to produce required product volumes while prioritizing health, safety, and stakeholder concerns. Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all mechanical, hydraulic, electric equipment and instrumentation. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of operations information systems to monitor manufacturing processes. Ensure the manufacturing operation runs safely and reliably with full regard for health and safety guidelines. Essential Skills Experience with PLC troubleshooting. Strong electrical and mechanical skills. Knowledge of servo-driven motors. Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree preferred. Work Environment The role is based onsite on the manufacturing floor, working with and troubleshooting equipment. The weekend 1st shift is from Saturday to Sunday, 10 am to 10:30 pm, with an additional 16 hours to be scheduled at your discretion throughout the rest of the week. This position offers an opportunity to gain exposure to automation and PLCs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
