Fiber Jetter

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Fiber Jetter to join our dynamic telecommunications team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for clearing fiber optic pathways by jetting cables through underground conduits, ensuring seamless network installation and maintenance. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality connectivity solutions to our clients, supporting the backbone of modern communication infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the field, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to keep networks running smoothly and efficiently. Duties Operate fiber jetting equipment to install and maintain fiber optic cables within underground conduits, ensuring optimal placement and performance Use hand tools and mechanical devices to prepare conduit pathways and assist with cable pulling processes Perform routine inspections of cabling infrastructure, identifying issues related to electrical or telecommunication components Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including cable routes Collaborate with team members on field service projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Requirements Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical or network issues efficiently Physical ability to perform fieldwork including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in various conditions This job does require travel out of town as needed.
