Production Supervisor Position Purpose:
The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging electrical and mechanical components used in the production of Harland Medical Systems' standard medical device coating and testing equipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining Harland's reputation for quality by ensuring all machines are built according to specifications, thoroughly tested, and accurately documented. The technician must complete all tasks within established timelines to consistently meet customer expectations and delivery commitments.Responsibilities:
Manufacturing, testing, and packaging of all standardized coating and testing equipment. Develop and maintain technical documentation for Harland equipment. Read and understand all schematics, drawings, and procedures to effectively build and test standardized equipment. Report on the status of all required duties to Production Supervisor at Harland Medical Systems with good documentation practice. Identify and suggest enhancements to optimize assembly efficiency, processes, and manufacturability. Support troubleshooting, and modifications throughout the production of Harland equipment. Support and/or perform other duties as required Adhere to all HMS quality documents and procedures. Adhere to all HMS safety procedures.Education, Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years of related Electrical / Mechanical Technician experience, and or, Associates degree (A.A.) / equivalent from a 2-year technical school. Experience reading and understanding Mechanical Drawings. Experience reading and understanding Electrical Schematics. Experience with basic electronic / mechanical tools, multi meter, crimpers, files, wrenches, etc.. Knowledge and experience working with ISO 13485 orISO 9000
environment. Must have experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment. Proven communication skills, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Self-starter and independent worker with excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to function in a Team environment.Working Conditions and Health & Safety:
Heated and air-conditioned manufacturing environment Employee is required to use appropriate PPE including, but not limited to, nitrile or latex gloves, lab coat, hair bonnet, shoe covers, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection, face shield, or respiratory mask while working in a lab or manufacturing space. Harland Medical System's commitment to ensure employee health and safety is a priority. Personnel engaged in manufacturing shall obtain training required byISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR
part 820, FDA 21 CFR part 210 & 211, and Harland Medical System's internal procedures, where deemed appropriate per assigned job functions.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period of time. Ascend / descend ladders and staircases. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms above shoulder height and below the waist. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Using proper lifting techniques, the employee must be able to lift to 50 lbs. The employee may work on ladders up to 6 feet above the floor. Specific vision abilities required by this job include corrected 20/20 vision, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position may be exposed to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.Pay:
