Summary:
AUTEC North America, LLC® is an industrial remote controls manufacturer currently seeking a Production / After-Sales Service Technician . Located approximately 15 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, the office provides sales and service support for the North American market. This is an entry/mid-level position which has the primary role of testing newly received radio remote controls to ensure quality and functionality as well as testing incoming systems for repair. Production work such as building wire harnesses and installation of harnesses inside radio remote control systems. This position will also include supporting existing customers and servicing radio remote control systems within our service department.

After-Sales Service Technician Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and confirm the functionality of newly produced radio remote control systems by following proper procedures, electrical schematics, safety rules and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain inspection reports.
  • Communicate all quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Perform production tasks such as building wire harnesses, installation of wire harnesses on remote control systems and other minor projects.
  • Support customers by phone and/or email regarding installation, operating, procedures, troubleshooting, repair, and spare part information.
  • Service remote control equipment that is returned for repair by using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Test, repair and/or modify remote control systems in a timely manner by following proper procedures, safety rules and regulations.
Document all repairs, including failure analysis, part/model numbers, physical and cosmetic conditions, and components replaced. Issue customers return material authorization requests (RMA's), maintain the RMA database current, create service reports for work performed, and create quotations for repair projects as well as spare parts and replacement remote control systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area including product stock in warehouse.
  • Perform receiving and shipping work including picking, packing, and creating shipments.
  • Perform other duties as they are assigned.
Commencement:
  • The commencement date will be approximately 30 days.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment a plus.
  • Knowledge in Industrial Fieldbus or serial communication and PLC/Logic programming desired.
  • Understanding basic radio functionality and radio remote control systems.
  • Prior experience with hands-on or repair of electronic equipment.
  • Ability to perform tests, repairs, and modifications by following electrical schematics and instructions.
  • Ability to work extended hours when required.
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker, and responsible.
  • US Citizen with English as primary language. Spanish, as a secondary language is a plus.
  • Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds required.
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally with international branches and partners.
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Organized individuals with strong communication skills and high motivation as well as desire to learn and grow as an employee with our company.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Renumeration:
    Salary:
    $52,000.00 - $60,000.00
    Pay:
    $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
