Electrical Service Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated service technician to maintain and upgrade commercial door systems and equipment. This role involves 90% maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading existing systems, with the remaining 10% dedicated to new installations. The position requires working with wiring, troubleshooting electronic door hardware such as automatic locks, lighting systems, and sensors, as well as modifying, upgrading, and installing various door systems and hardware. Responsibilities Maintain and upgrade commercial door systems. Troubleshoot electronic door hardware including automatic locks, lighting systems, and sensors. Modify, upgrade, and install varying door systems and hardware. Provide customer service to clients including schools, hospitals, retail stores, and restaurants. Essential Skills Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems. Proficiency in low voltage work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience in field service, electrical maintenance, and installations. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2-year degree in maintenance or automation is advantageous. Experience installing hardware, electronics, and control systems. Welding experience is beneficial. Customer service experience is required. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
