Job Description
Job Summary:
Position involves the repair, maintenance, modification, and design of all ride electronic controls and other control systems throughout the park. This role is essential to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of amusement rides and supporting systems. The technician will work closely with multiple departments to minimize downtime, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for Guests. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, technical accuracy, and documentation while working in a fast-paced, outdoor amusement park environment.Specific Job Duties:
Utilize PLC knowledge to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify all ride control systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance Perform daily maintenance tasks including troubleshooting and repairing electronic and electro-mechanical systems on rides, such as PLC systems, variable frequency drives, proximity switches, photo-eyes, sensors, and related control equipment Assist mechanical and electrical departments with diagnostics and repairs in order to reduce operational downtime and improve overall ride reliability Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed, as well as accurate and detailed records of preventive maintenance using the Maximo system Be responsible for maintaining control and safety systems across a variety of venues including, but not limited to, amusement rides, environmental and HVAC systems, alarm systems, and lighting control systems Adhere to all department and company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and lockout/tagout practices Support the company mantra of providing Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service to Guests at all times Complete projects, repairs, and special assignments as directed by supervision or managementMinimum Qualifications:
An Associate's Degree in electronics technology, along with experience and formal training in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex control systems while maintaining a strong focus on quality workmanship and safety Ability to use a wide variety of electronic test equipment required to service complex control systems; familiarity with AutoCAD and technical schematics is a plus Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment down to the component level Ability to provide required hand tools and steel-toe footwear for daily use Must be able to work nights and weekends during the operating season and be willing to work overtime during peak spring and summer months, as well as work outdoors in extreme temperatures Must possess a valid Driver's LicenseSimilar remote jobs
