WHO MAY APPLY

All qualified permanent and indefinite Title 32 Nional Guard employees who are currently working for the Missouri Army Nional Guard. Duties Help Performs functional tests, analyzes performance and malfunctions the electronic, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, modules, and interconnecting cables of a variety of comb and tactical equipment. Removes, installs, tests, maintains, modifies, performs alignments and troubleshoots the electronic, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, modules, and interconnecting cables of a variety of comb and tactical equipment. Repairs or replaces chassis mounted components on Unit Under Test (UUT). Performs Automic Test Equipment (ATE) operions for fault isolion on LLM electronic modules, circuit cards, and assemblies to component level. Replaces faulty components on UUT printed circuit boards and power distribution systems. Utilizes oscilloscopes, signal generors, digital multi-meters, and other test equipment to loce, diagnose, and repair malfunctions. Troubleshoots and repairs launch pod/container (LP/C), trainer rocket simulor modules, Missiles/Launchers Pod Assembly (M/LPA), trainer missile simulor modules, and various like items. Troubleshoots carrier electrical and power distributions systems as an integred subsystem of the weapon system or equipment being repaired. Isoles faulty assemblies, cables, wiring harnesses and modules to component level for repair or replacement. Performs field and limited sustainment maintenance to include installion, routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul of fixed and mobile operional communicion and electronics systems. Repairs, aligns, and adjusts missile guidance control systems, infrared night vision sights, optical sights, and traversing units. Removes and replaces defective electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. Conducts inspections, diagnoses nure and extent of equipment malfunction. Determines whether equipment may be economically repaired or declared unserviceable. Repairs or salvages defective components. Isoles and diagnoses cause of circuit/component malfunction using signal string lists, schemics, standard, special, and electronic Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) or repair equipment. Uses various types of test equipment to include systems test sets and stands such as frequency meters, standing wave indicors, oscillors, ohmmeters, voltmeters, resistance bridges, and signal generors to localize trouble by component unit. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or terminion. This is an Excepted Service position th requires membership in the Missouri Nional Guard prior to the effective de of placement. Placement or baseline physical are required for newly hired or appointed Wage Grade personnel who may be potentially exposed to health hazards in the work environment. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Must be able to obtain and maintain the approprie security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS

Selected candide must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army Nional Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - WO1 (W-1)

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Must possess experience, educion or training which demonstres your knowledge of electrical or electronic theory, knowledge of common testing procedures, skill in the use of hand tools of the electronics trade, and skill in reading schemic.

WG-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Must possess specialized experience th demonstres your ability to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain complex electronic systems where circuit theory must be used to understand the operion of individual circuits; skill in developing new test and repair procedures for which none exists, and when possible, improve existing procedures. The specialized experience must also demonstre an understanding of the interaction of a number of complex, interreled circuits to determine the cause of the malfunction and the interaction of various factors. Experience th demonstres skill in interpreting complex drawings, specificions, and schemics of complete systems to recognize the function and interconnections of the various assemblies. Skill in using a wide variety of electronic test equipment such as systems test sets, frequency meters, standing wave indicors, oscillors, ohmmeters, voltmeters, resistance bridges, and signal generors.
