WHO MAY APPLY
All qualified permanent and indefinite Title 32 Nional Guard employees who are currently working for the TASMG Shop in Springfield, Missouri. Duties Help Troubleshoots, inspects, installs, maintains, overhauls, repairs, and modifies complete operional systems consisting of numerous complex integral components. Completes operional checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of line replaceable unit (LRU). Isoles unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schemics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automic test equipment. Solves problems by analyzing installion, circuitry, and opering characteristics of the systems. Adjusts and aligns sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuors, servos, computers and other reled components. Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modificion, programming, reprogramming, ming, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Reassembles unit after repair, performs alignment and makes shop checks. Conducts debriefing of aircrews. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical da, and maintenance procedures. Guides lower-level mechanics in performance of tasks. Conducts on-the-job training on assigned systems and reled support equipment and tasks to include classroom instruction as necessary. Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets. Ensures th merial and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained. Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or terminion. This is an Excepted Service position th requires membership in the Missouri Nional Guard prior to the effective de of placement. Placement or baseline physical are required for newly hired or appointed Wage Grade personnel who may be potentially exposed to health hazards in the work environment. Individuals on incentive bonuses may be subject to recoupment or terminion, contact the Ste Incentives Manager (573) 638-9500 extension 39637 for questions concerning recoupment or terminion. Employment can be termined with a 30 day notice. In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the indefinite appointment, th employee will relinquish permanent stus. This position is authorized to be filled as long as the reimbursable funds are available. Must be able to obtain and maintain the approprie security clearance of the position. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relionships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperive working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportion as approprie, to perform temporary duty assignments. Must have or be able to obtain government license to opere vehicles up to 1 ton in the performance of duties. Qualificions
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS
Selected candide must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army Nional Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - MSG (E-8) with de of rank after 4 August 2021 GENERAL
EXPERIENCE
: Must possess experience, educion or training which demonstres your knowledge of electrical or electronic theory, knowledge of common testing procedures, skill in the use of hand tools of the electronics trade, and skill in reading schemic.
WG-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must possess specialized experience th demonstres your ability to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain complex electronic systems where circuit theory must be used to understand the operion of individual circuits; skill in developing new test and repair procedures for which none exists, and when possible, improve existing procedures. The specialized experience must also demonstre an understanding of the interaction of a number of complex, interreled circuits to determine the cause of the malfunction and the interaction of various factors. Experience th demonstres skill in interpreting complex drawings, specificions, and schemics of complete systems to recognize the function and interconnections of the various assemblies. Skill in using a wide variety of electronic test equipment such as systems test sets, frequency meters, standing wave indicors, oscillors, ohmmeters, voltmeters, resistance bridges, and signal generors.
