Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW
Maintenance Technician (Robotics / Automation)
Reports To:
Maintenance Group Leader
POSITION DETAILS
Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair robots and related equipment by applying knowledge and using tools and resources.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma / GED Associate degree in robotics technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / COMPETENCIES
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Knowledge of customer-specific requirements PLC and robotic programming knowledge and ability Must have knowledge of the English language Maintain excellent attendance (must be at work on time and consistently) Ability to read and follow work instructions Ability to apply understanding of simple written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in different situations
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Review work orders, manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to determine tasks, tools, equipment, and parts needed for installation or repair Inspect installation sites to verify electrical supply wires, conduit, switches, and circuit breakers are installed according to specifications Position and secure robots and related equipment to floor using crane, hand, and power tools with assistance from maintenance staff and according to manuals and blueprints Attach electrical wires to robot controller, programmable controller, and hydraulic power unit Connect hoses between hydraulic systems and components (text cuts off in source) #
