Assemble and package fiber optic connector components. Terminate single and multi-fiber cables. Operate fiber router & complete over-molding process (as needed). Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds (as needed). Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices. Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product. May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment. Understand cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly. Perform

EFG & IPC

(workmanship) checks on both single & multi-fiber termini. Mechanical Aptitude to safely & efficiently operate equipment (E-Stop/Soft Stop) and identify issues. Assist in the estimation process step durations. Suggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies. Communicate within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & Customer satisfaction. After training period of 30 days, works with limited supervision to provide timely and quality products. Inspect own work and products using quality standards, work instructions and prints. Accountability

Respects confidential information and concerns shared by others. Available to work overtime to support production goals as needed. Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing all required clean room gowning garments and PPE (gowns, shoe booties, hair nets, nitrile gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes). This is Full-Time, Contract Opportunity.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience required with knowledge and understanding of manufacturing principles such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. Minimum 1 year experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment preferred. SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred. Proficient Hand-Eye Dexterity & Motor Skills for intricate/delicate work. Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading preferred. Comfortable to work with small parts in a clean room environment, using a microscope.

Schedule:

1st (7am-3:30pm) / 2nd shift 3:20pm-11:50pm, Monday
