(must have 12 months) , you will perform limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment, comb, tactical and automotive vehicles; perform limited diagnoses to determine the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks and/or uses basic test equipment such as compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and pressure gauges; Removes, replaces, adjusts, cleans and installs parts and components such as wheel seals, switches, sensors, fuel pumps, wer pumps, power steering pumps, brakes, filters, radiors, bearings, springs, shock absorbers, wheel cylinders, starter motors, mufflers, btery cables, and other items of similar complexity; independently performs routine repairs and maintenance functions in remote locions th can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems using standard parts; conduct limited readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associed equipment supported by the activity; may perform routine maintenance and limited repairs on basic communicion equipment such as radios, field telephones, amplifiers, switchboards, recorders, intercoms by removing and replacing components and elements; In conjunction with or in the absence of the Tools and Parts Attendant, may maintain supply documention, and the receipt, store, issue, and inventory of tools and parts used in the trades operion; perform other duties as assigned As a

(must have 18 months) , you troubleshoot, performs maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, comb, tactical and automotive vehicles; troubleshoot equipment and diagnoses the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks and/or uses test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges, and computer diagnostic tools; remove and disassemble engines and major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems; Independently perform repairs and maintenance functions in remote locions th can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems such as injectors, leaking wheel cylinders, corroded mufflers, fuel tanks, brake cylinders and worn brake shoes, voltage regulors, generors, injector pumps, and fuel pumps; conduct readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associed equipment supported by the activity; may maintain and repair electronics communicion equipment by removing and replacing components and elements; assist in the maintenance of production reports and records, and makes recommendions to the supervisor; Performs other duties as assigned. General Experience:
Experience or training which demonstres knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventive maintenance tasks, and is able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
WG-8 (must have least 12 months) experience or training using common hand and power tools and a small variety of test and measurement devices to make mechanical repairs. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories. Experience which demonstres a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to vehicles; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience demonstring an understanding of the makeup and operion of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelionships. Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schemics. WG-10 (must have least 18 months) experience or training diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying more complex vehicles, equipment, and more compliced systems. Experience which has provided a thorough knowledge of diagnostic equipment. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems. Experienced in testing, inspecting, and evaluing the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems.
