Job Description

Job Summary :
Performs all functions related to sterile processing and surgical case cart assembly in accordance with established standards. These functions include, but are not limited to, decontamination, surgical instrument processing, sterilization and surgical case cart assembly. Possesses in-depth knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation. Can serve as liaison to other departments and CaroMont affiliated entities. Serves as key member of department leadership team. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently in all areas. Will assist in the training, orientation and onboarding of new technicians. Will assist in scheduling and shift assignments to assure smooth daily department operations. Will be personally responsible for obtaining CEU's to maintain professional Certifications. Provides leadership to ensure performance improvement, exceptional customer service and effective teamwork.
Qualifications :
High School diploma. Active certification by either CBSPD or HSPA. Additional specialty certifications highly encouraged (i.e. scope processing certification, leadership certification, or others as applicable to Sterile Processing). 3 - 5 years of experience in Sterile Processing desired. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers and leadership team. Ability to present educational programs to staff. Ability to use basic computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office) required EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
