Electronics Lab Technician

Job Brief We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Technician to join our team. As an Electronic Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of electronic devices and systems in various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, with the ability to assemble, install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment and systems. Responsibilities Assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components, circuits, and systems according to technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Inspect and evaluate electronic equipment, components, and systems to identify defects, malfunctions, or areas for improvement. Diagnose and resolve electronic issues using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and specialized software. Replace faulty components, solder connections, and wiring to restore electronic equipment and systems to operational status. Conduct functional and performance testing of electronic devices and systems to verify proper operation and adherence to specifications. Document work performed, including repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities, using electronic records and reports. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other professionals to develop solutions and improvements for electronic systems and equipment. Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents and injuries. Requirements and Skills Associate degree or certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field is required. Proven experience as an Electronic Technician or a similar role, with a solid understanding of electronic principles, components, and systems. Hands-on experience with electronic testing equipment, oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering tools, and diagnostic software. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex electronic systems and identify root causes of issues. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small electronic components and performing intricate tasks. Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical individuals. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality, with the ability to perform precise and accurate work. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow established safety procedures.
