$28.00/hr.Job Summary:
An Electrical Technician installs, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and provides training on electrical/mechanical (including pneumatic) systems of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure they are maintained within safety, quality, efficiency, and waste standards. Primary focus is to minimize downtime on equipment and to ensure the appropriate preventative maintenance is completed to optimize equipment performance. This will be done through the use of technical manuals, diagrams and other specifications using hand tools, meters, computers, and electrical test equipment. Key Responsibilities Review equipment reliability on a continual basis and identify improvement opportunities. Personally, adhere to and enforce all safety procedures and policies, to include confined space, and lockout/tag out. Troubleshoot immediate electrical issues across multiple lines and support equipment. Perform repairs of equipment and preventive maintenance on said equipment. Perform daily equipment audits. Participate in and assist with maintenance days, changeovers, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned platforms. Provide design input for equipment upgrades and project support as needed. Provide technical assistance in problem solving on assigned platforms or in area of expertise. Provide training on request for operating teams such as technical skills, preventative maintenance, and units of operation. Rebuild and/or conduct bench repair of small electrical/mechanical components and maintain parts inventory. Work in a CMMS system for PM's and work orders.Required Qualifications/Professional Experiences Years of Experience/Education/Certifications:
5 years' experience troubleshooting PLCs in manufacturing environment. Experience with Siemens PLC. AA degree, Technical Certification and/or equivalent experience Technical knowledge of basic mechanics - hand tools, shop equipment, drives, etc. Ability to troubleshoot high speed manufacturing equipment and read blueprints/schematics. Ability to work multiple shifts as needed. On-call responsibilities included as well.Preferred Qualifications/Professional Experiences/Years of Experience:
Allen BradleyPLC 2, 3
& 5, Control Logix, Ethernet communications, and Ladder logic control. 6 to 10 years of related work experience Previous experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment and/or on the job training.
