Electronic Technician

CFS is seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to assume a key role in the Electronics Department. The ET will be responsible for a wide variety of electronic components used in high-speed weighing, scanning, labeling, and other computerized equipment. Candidates must have a solid electronics background and be skilled in assembly, wiring, testing, and diagnostics of electronic, PC and PLC equipment. Responsibilities will include short run manufacturing operations on customized equipment; configurations and set-ups of scanners, controllers, printers, touch-screen PC's, RF and network devices; assembly and testing of wiring harnesses; trouble-shooting proprietary and bought-in equipment. Opportunities will arise for interested individuals for advancement within the department or in other areas of the company (Field Service Engineer, Support Services, and Programming). We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter, capable of organizing and assessing critical tasks and launching into solutions quickly. We want a "do-it-right the first time" attitude; a person who does not accept second rate quality and is proud of their work. Must have a good understanding of computers and software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Ability to work independently or within a group with strong interpersonal communication skills. 40 hours per week with overtime at the discretion of the dept. manager. Minimum:

High School Diploma with 2 years of electronics specialty training and / or 4 years of practical experience in related work. Associate degree in Electronics preferred. No phone calls please.
