If this is you, come and impress us, and be a part of a winning team. Job Description Job Description Assist Automation Engineer with Plantwide Automation improvements. Participate in Programming various Controls Technologies including PLCs, Robotics, Drives, HMIs, Safety Hardware, Vision, and PC based platforms. Train TEF staff in the use of Programming/HMI/Safety/Drive software to troubleshoot plant equipment in a Safe and effective manner. Assist with the planning of training courses and developmental evaluation of TEF technicians. Maintain plantwide directory of Controls backups, Robotics, and pc images. Maintain plantwide directory of Electrical Schematics for each Value Stream. Participate in Continuous Improvement activities. Support complex downtime events in production with the objective to explain the diagnostic process and guide technicians in improving Controls root cause analysis. Create detailed technical presentations that provide insight into projects, automation improvements, and complex downtime events. Qualifications Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with Control Systems, PLC's, CNC Controls, Robots, PC's and HMI's. A.A.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or similar Associates Degree. Proficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs. Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and
NFPA 70E.
Working knowledge of prints, schematics, and equipment documentation for installation, modification and repair of production equipment. Working knowledge of machine communications including understanding of communication cables and LAN components. Qualified to work in electrical panels of 3-phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE. This will be verified by a practical demonstration before you can work in any panel. Good computer, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Prior Robot Schools is a strong plus. (Certificate required to operate and teach robots.)
