Advanced Engineering Technician APR Consulting Inc - 4.2 McLeansville, NC Job Details Contract $31.71 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CAD software Inspection tools Bore gauges Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Manual machining CAM programming Full Job Description Our DoD/Aerospace client is seeking an Advanced Engineering Technician for an onsite contract role in McLeansville, NC . This position supports hands-on fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing of prototype electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment for mission-critical defense programs. To qualify, candidates must have an Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years of relevant technician or advanced manufacturing experience . Strong machining skills (manual & CNC) are required. U.S. citizenship is required due to work performed in secure facilities.

$31.71/hr

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabricate, modify, assemble, and test prototype electro-mechanical systems Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics Perform machining using manual and CNC equipment (HAAS mills, 4th/5th axis, lathes) Use SolidWorks or CAM software for fabrication support Apply GD&T principles and precision measurement tools Design and build custom tooling and fixtures Troubleshoot and improve technical processes Support experimental and specialized test equipment development
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or equivalent technical experience 3+ years of machining / engineering technician experience Advanced manual and CNC machining experience Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAM tools Experience using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Willingness to work overtime as needed Advanced machining experience using both manual and CNC controlled equipment, including: HAAS Mills 4th and 5th Axis machining Lathes U.S. citizenship required due to work performed in secure facilities
