COPY LINK link Adecco is assisting a client in the Monroe, NC area in recruiting an Automation Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and maintenance of automated production equipment within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Responsibilities The Automation Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to: Maintaining machine reliability and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational performance Providing technical support and troubleshooting for automation and equipment reliability initiatives Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, sensor, control, and I/O system issues Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions Performing maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on automated and dosage equipment Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics Managing spare parts inventory and executing scheduled maintenance and project work Coordinating with production teams to schedule downtime for repairs Serving as a Subject Matter Expert by training team members on machine mechanics and control systems Promoting teamwork and maintaining a safe work environment Following all SOPs, safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout procedures Supporting continuous improvement initiatives Performing other duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Associate degree in Automation Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field and 5+ years of manufacturing experience (higher education or military experience may be considered) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellentmunication skills High attention to detail Commitment to quality and safety standards Experience with PLC and bus system troubleshooting (Beckhoff TwinCAT preferred) Experience in high-volume automated manufacturing environments preferredPreferred Skills:
High-speed automation experience Knowledge of high-speed camera inspection and labeling systems Demonstrated adnce to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to read schematics and perform detailed inspections Ability to work in confined or limited spaces as required Work Schedule & DetailsPay Rate:
