Job Description
Adecco is assisting a client in the Monroe, NC area in recruiting an Automation Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and maintenance of automated production equipment within a high-volume manufacturing environment. - Responsibilities
- The Automation Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to: + Maintaining machine reliability and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational performance + Providing technical support and troubleshooting for automation and equipment reliability initiatives + Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, sensor, control, and I/O system issues + Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions + Performing maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on automated and dosage equipment + Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics + Managing spare parts inventory and executing scheduled maintenance and project work + Coordinating with production teams to schedule downtime for repairs + Serving as a Subject Matter Expert by training team members on machine mechanics and control systems + Promoting teamwork and maintaining a safe work environment + Following all SOPs, safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout procedures + Supporting continuous improvement initiatives + Performing other duties as assigned •Qualifications•
Minimum Requirements:
- + Associate degree in Automation Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field and 5+ years of manufacturing experience (higher education or military experience may be considered) + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent communication skills + High attention to detail + Commitment to quality and safety standards + Experience with PLC and bus system troubleshooting (Beckhoff TwinCAT preferred) + Experience in high-volume automated manufacturing environments preferred •
Preferred Skills:
- + High-speed automation experience + Knowledge of high-speed camera inspection and labeling systems + Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout
- Physical Requirements
- + Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs + Ability to read schematics and perform detailed inspections + Ability to work in confined or limited spaces as required

7:00 PM- 7:30 AM +
Rotation:
2-2-3 schedule +Training:
Must train on 1st shift (7:00 AM- 3:30 PM) for 5 months, Monday-Friday +
