1st Shift (7:30 AM•4:00 PM, with potential overtime)
Pay Range:
$28/hr to $30/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support lab equipment and facility operations within an electrification and testing environment. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibration of laboratory equipment, as well as maintaining building infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of lab equipment, test systems, and fixtures Assist with setup, modification, and operation of test benches and electrification systems Build, modify, and maintain wiring harnesses, loads, and test fixtures Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes Inspect and repair electrical and mechanical assemblies Perform calibration and verification of thermal chambers and related equipment Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure compliance with standards Support additional validation and maintenance activities as needed Perform general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and repairs Execute preventative maintenance on facility systems Support grounds maintenance, minor construction, and seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal) Troubleshoot facility-related issues affecting lab operations Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure Maintain work orders, maintenance logs, and calibration records Ensure high equipment uptime and reliability Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment Support workplace safety and compliance programs
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or technical support Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes) Knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field Experience with electrification systems (motors, inverters, batteries) Experience with lab/test equipment or calibration tools Background in mechatronics, automation, or robotics Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems
Work Environment:
This role involves a combination of laboratory, shop, and facility environments. Physical activity such as lifting, standing, and equipment handling is required. Occasional on-call or off-shift work may be necessary. (LH-R7) #IND2
